That was a minor but harsh theme among Memphis economic and development leaders who localized the Urban Land Institute 2011 Emerging Trends in Real Estate on Wednesday.
They spoke to the annual ULI Memphis conference at the Holiday Inn-University of Memphis.
Both Nashville and Knoxville have the strongest markets in Tennessee and will continue to lead the state in economic activity next year, said John Gnuschke, director of the University of Memphis Sparks Bureau of Business and Economic Research and co-director of its Center for Real Estate Research.
