ULI Memphis 2024 Tommy Pacello Award
ULI Memphis Tommy Pacello Award is given annually to recognize a local development project that demonstrates the built environment values + principles Tommy Pacello championed: small scale, low cost, high impact. This year’s winner will be announced at ULI Memphis 2024 Annual Meeting w/ Emerging Trends – June 18.
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS!
Please make your nominations for this year’s ULI Memphis Tommy Pacello Award. We encourage nominations for all local or area projects with no minimum or maximum size or cost. Projects may be an implementation of tactical urbanism or a fully realized real estate project. The only requirement is the project was commenced and/or completed years 2021-2024.
The selection committee will consider projects that include elements according to the following criteria:
- Entails a strong show of neighborhood or community input and collaboration.
- Challenges the status quo or ‘the way things are ALWAYS done’.
- Incorporates a new or forward-thinking, creative design solution.
- Adds character to or improves the area streetscape.
- Includes the neighborhood scale and design principles Tommy championed.
- Revitalizes a marginalized or underserved neighborhood or portion of a community that was previously ignored or left behind.
All nominations must be submitted via the Nomination Form by FRIDAY, JUNE 7 – 5:00 PM.
Award Finalists will be announced FRIDAY, JUNE 14. The Winner will be announced TUESDAY, JUNE 18 at this year’s ULI Memphis Annual Meeting w/Emerging Trends.
