    Clay McCullough

    Senior Vice President, Hopper Communities, Inc.

    Clay McCullough graduated from the University of Georgia and has been an essential part of the Hopper Communities family for over nine years. He oversees land acquisition entitlements and residential development for our Charlotte market. Clay’s patience and devotion to maneuvering through challenges is vital to successful land entitlement and development. His steadfast approach to this sometimes lengthy process, has earned him trust and respect among investors, lenders, architects, engineers, and the Hopper Communities Family. Clay McCullough and Bart Hopper have become a dynamic team in our industry and within the Charlotte market. They have built a solid reputation for creating outstanding neighborhoods with exceptional value. Clay and his wife, Heather, have been Charlotteans for over fifteen years. They are avid Georgia Bulldog fans, have two active children, and like many parents, spend their weekends cheering at soccer and baseball games.

    Elizabeth McMillan

    Vice President of Development, Crescent Communities

    With over seventeen years of experience in the development and construction of mixed use, office and retail properties, Elizabeth is a senior of development in Crescent’s Commercial & Mixed Use group in Charlotte. Elizabeth focuses mainly on mixed used, retail, office and industrial developments in the Carolinas. Elizabeth is involved in all portions of the development process – land acquisitions, design, entitlement, permitting, construction, leasing, land sales, preparing budgets, and project sales. Notable projects include Ally Charlotte Center, the River District, Belgate, and Potomac Yard. Elizabeth is a LEED AP and a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina. Elizabeth currently serves on the Charlotte Mecklenburg Planning Commission, ULI Charlotte’s Advisory Board, and the University City Partners Board. Elizabeth earned Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

    Regional Vice President, Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC

    Michael Byrd, Regional Vice President and Division Manager at Brasfield & Gorrie, is a building expert in the Southeast. With 26 years of experience in the construction industry, Michael oversees healthcare and commercial projects and leads business development for Brasfield & Gorrie’s Charlotte office. He serves as the senior living market sector leader and brings a wealth of knowledge to the leadership team. Michael is active in the community and regularly lends his time and talents to support local charitable organizations - Hands of a Sportsman, The Exceptional Foundation of Charlotte, and Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte. He also serves on the board of directors for Possibility Place, an intentional living community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

    Steve McClure

    CEO, The Spectrum Companies

    As CEO, Steve leads all aspects of The Spectrum Companies, implementing strategy, guiding team leaders, and overseeing the operations of its four service lines: Asset Management, Capital Management, Development, and Contract Services. A 16-year veteran of the company, Steve joined Spectrum’s commercial leasing team in 2004, then led its residential division for 10 years before being named Chief Operating Officer in January of 2017. Steve was the key leader in forming Spectrum’s new vision to become an evergreen company and establishing our mission to “change lives by creating special places.” He is responsible for ensuring team members are aligned and focused on living our vision and mission daily. Steve lives in Charlotte with his wife, Erin, and their two small children, Grace and Jack.     Sagar Rathie

    Managing Director, Commercial Office, Crescent Communities

    Sagar joined Crescent Communities in 2016, and leads all aspects of Crescent Communities Commercial development and new investment growth through the East and West, including North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. His primary responsibilities include acquisitions, predevelopment, and financing, as well as managing Crescent Communities' $800 million commercial pipeline. Sagar has extensive capital markets experience, having collectively raised over $3 billion in capital throughout his career. Previously, he was Crescent Communities' Director of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations, and led the execution of the Company's multiyear strategic plan. Sagar received his MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill, Master's in Engineering from Duke University, and BS in Biomedical Engineering also from UNC-Chapel Hill.
