ULI Memphis 100 N. Main Pre-Development Tour: Challenges & Opportunities

100 North Main was once a hub of activity and a vital gathering place Downtown. At over 2-acres, the property sits vacant in the heart of the Downtown Core and just blocks from the recently renovated Renasant Convention Center. Vacant and blighted since 2014, the future of this property has been uncertain and without a clear path forward.
The Downtown Memphis Commission (DMC) and the Downtown Mobility Authority (DMA) purchased the building with plans to issue a Request For Proposal (RFP) to identify a viable development partner. Putting the tallest building Downtown back into productive use is a top priority for the DMC.
Join DMC staff for an insider’s tour at this critical pre-development stage. The tour will include the ground-floor commercial space, the existing parking garage, and a tower climb up to the 37th floor! We will stop for a break and photographs at the rooftop restaurant space, providing an opportunity for the best views of Downtown Memphis.
Limited to a maximum of 16 people, this tour will involve climbing the stairs up 37 floors and back down again over a 2.5-hour period. You alone must determine whether you are physically able to complete the tour safely. We will stay together as a group to ensure everyone’s safety during the visit. It is also suggested that you wear a mask inside the stairwell due to the dust. Please note that the building does not have working elevators, climate control, electricity, or restroom facilities.
We will meet at DMC office at 114 N. Main St., which is located directly across the street from the Tour Site. We may use the DMC restrooms before and after the tour.
This event is free and for ULI Members. Because space is limited, please only register if you can guarantee your attendance.
We recommend parking at Shopper's Garage, located at 85 N Front St, between Jefferson and Adams, for a short walk to the DMC office.
