What drives a developer to develop? What makes a tenant choose a site? Join the ULI Memphis Young Leader’s Group on a tour of Legacy Park led by Andy Cates, CEO and President of Brokerage Services at Colliers International | Memphis. During the tour, you will learn how Memphis’ economy is powered by distribution and logistics, and about the inner-workings of how and why certain industrial spaces work for certain tenants. Join us after the tour for networking, light snacks and beverages.

Legacy Park is Hillwood Investment Properties’ newest 266-acre logistics park in the Memphis metro market. Eight modern designed, Class A buildings with 4.3 million square feet are planned. This 266 acre business park has great road, rail, and air access with its proximity to US 78, TN-385, BNSF and Norfolk and Southern intermodal terminals, and FedEX air and Ground hubs and a UPS sort hub.

Hillwood Investment Properties, a Perot company, is a full-service industrial real estate developer, investor and advisor focusing on high quality institutional grade industrial properties. The company originated at the end of 1998 and was launched as a platform for Hillwood to develop and acquire industrial properties in locations other than its flagship property AllianceTexas (established in 1989), in Fort Worth, Texas.

Andy Cates has completed approximately 500 transactions involving more than 50 million square feet and representing a multitude of clients, ranging from local business owners to large national corporations/owners. Andy joined Colliers International in 1998 and became partner and vice-president in 2005 before assuming the role of CEO & President of Brokerage Services in 2013.

This event is free for members/$20 for non-members. Please register by August 15th.
