ULI Memphis in the Community

ULI Memphis is committed to working with community organizations to promote the responsible use of land throughout the Mid-South region.

In 2007, ULI Memphis received a ULI Foundation Community Action Grant to offer the Urban Design and Placemaking: New Models for Growth and Redevelopment Around Universities and Other Major Institutions series.

ULI Memphis, in partnership with the University of Memphis, developed this series of four workshops and public presentations designed to bring anchor institutions, private developers, nonprofit partners and the public together to stimulate dialogue and advance our understanding about how to create effective collaborative efforts necessary to revitalize neighborhoods surrounding local institutions. These workshops and presentations began in October 2007 and culminated with a BrunerLoeb Forum in May 2008.
